Industry insider and gaming sooth-sayer extraordinaire Surfer Girl has looked into her crystal ball once again, and this time she has some pretty juicy information. According to a comment she made responding to some of her readers’ questions, Gears of War 2 will be shown off (in some form or another) at GDC ‘08. As if this news wasn’t exciting enough, Surfer Girl also claims that the phantom title Alan Wake will be displayed at the show as well. GDC is lookin’ pretty promising so far if all of this is to be believed.
Sure this is all just rumor and speculation, but Surfer Girl isn’t usually one to push out bogus claims, and messing up stuff like this right around GDC could end up ruining a reputation. It seems safe to trust these predictions, but just remember not to get your hopes too high, because in this industry, anything can happen.
