In a recent Nintendo press release detailing the Wii’s new “Wii L C” channel, which will allow gamers to download extra content for many of the console’s titles, a certain best selling blockbuster hit was mentioned in a way that will make even the grumpiest Wii players excited. I am of course talking about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and its DLC which could end up making one of the best game’s on Nintendo’s latest console even better. Starting on April 5th, 6 new characters and 4 new stages will be available for download via the “Wii L C” channel for only $10. Don’t believe me? Check out the full press release after the jump-aroo.

Everyone loves new stuff, but sometimes that stuff comes at a price. This is why we in the gaming industry make money. In fact, this is basically why the people who sell things in any industry make money. Anyway, enough about us, lets talk about the Wii L C channel. It rules!
What’s better than a new Wii channel which you will use all the time to get new stuff? THe fact that you can get new stuffs for the coolest game on the entire planet. That’s right everybody, Super Smash Bros Brawl is 1337, and its about to get 1337er. Exponentially 1337er. That’s because on April 5th, you will be able to download one billion new characters and ten gajillion new stages for the title. Sounds awsome right? Right. Cool. So go buy that. That will be ten dollars please.
That’s not the only game that will be getting the Wii L C treatment however, as many other games will be upgraded via the channel. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will get a new sword made of molten sulfur and the ability to defeat every boss by distracting them with cute kittens. Cool! Super Mario Galaxy will get Wii L C content as well, with a new downloadable planet which will be home to a new set of Mon Calamari characters.

The best April Fools jokes are the ones that are only a little outrageous/almost believable. Should have left it at 6 chars and 4 stages for $10. Or even DLC for the games mentioned without the ridiculous press release. Would have made this much better.
Yeah, as Tim said it would have been better to use smaller figures.

He is even more pathetic than you would think considering he copied an already made, more elaborate april fools joke revolving around DLC for Wii. It was the supposed “Wii Want More” service that press-nintendo released. (press-nintendo isn’t the real site either, press.nintendo is) Press.nintendo had nothing to do with it and neither did Nintendo.

Their bargains and specials are not made to do you a favour, but to get you to expend big time in their outlets. Customers will need to be conscious of these tactics and all the tricks so that they can steer clear of the pitfalls and get the genuine bargains and very low price ranges that are on give.
