The user Reinhart has posted on the Wiipal forums that according to a Rakuten(Japanese Video Game Retailer) the game is now on being manufactured. There is no official word from Nintendo and no post on the Smash Bros blog about the game going gold, but it’s nice to think that it has gone gold because delays seem way less likely. Reinhart didn’t post a link to the site and after trying to scavenge the website for some information, I couldn’t find any. I’m not going to get too excited until Nintendo or anyone with some power confirms this.

With less than a month left till Halo 3’s launch, Microsoft has confirmed today that the game has gone gold. This basically means that the game is complete and it has been sent away for manufacturing. This comes after people saw Frankie playing “Halo 3″ on Xbox Live, not Halo 3 Epsilon, not Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta, but Halo 3. So, now that the most anticipated game ever is finished, we will have to hope that our 360’s don’t break until after September 25th, 2007.
For some the 2-D Metroid Series on Game-Boy Advance have been some of the greatest handheld games ever and needless to say these people were disappointed when Metroid Prime: Hunters was annouced and released for the DS as a 3-D game. And their hopes were further squashed when Metroid Dread, a game found on a list of TBA DS games, was unofficially cancelled. Metroid Dread was suppose to be a 2-D DS game that went back to the roots of the Metroid series. However, there still might be hope for Dread from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Early reviewers of the game have found a mysterious message in a world from researching a panel.
“Experiment status report update: Metroid project ‘Dread’ is nearing the final stages of completion.”
Is this the proof of a 2-D DS game? Retro having fun with Metroid fans? Who knows, really; but, then again who doesn’t love a mystery.
