The rumored Playstation button has been confirmed true as pictures of the PSP 3000 begin to surface. The button is said to simply act like a guide button and will bring up the X-cross media bar in-game and in-movie. This is an interesting feature for the PSP, but definitely not a huge advancement that will displace the DS as the leader in the market. Check out more pics after the break.
Here are some more details on Snake in SSBB and they come from the post today on the Smash Bros. Dojo! blog. The coolest part of the post was the video which gives a MGS feel entrance into the game and then it shows off some fighting with Snake.
The most anticipated game for the PS3, which is cited by almost all PS3 owners to own a PS3 will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2007. I know, this may decide the fate of the PS3. All this was said on the Kojima Productions podcast, which you can find here. The podcast also mentioned a new trailer that may border spoiler territory for hardcore MGS fans. But, everyone needs to get excited because TGS is close and that means many highly anticipated games will hopefully be playable.
Metal Gear Solid: 4 may be THE most anticipated game for the Playstation 3, besides Killzone. Well, our friends at Konami just released some screenshots for this game that is really getting a lot of buzz. They are mostly screens of the bosses in the game, but there are also screens of gameplay. Hit the link to check the rest of them out. Continue reading ‘MGS: 4 Update’
UK mega retailer HMV has quite an interesting item up for pre order on their website. Not only are they offering a pre order for the PS3 version of MGS 4, but they are giving buyers the chance to pay for the 360 version in advance as well. Wait a sec, the 360 version? The unconfirmed super rumor version? The version that has sparked more debate in the gaming world than any other game for as long as I can remember? Yes that’s right, that version.
Now either way you look at it, HMV screwed up. Either someone released classified info too soon, or somehow they listed an item that doesn’t exist at all. If the former is true, many Xbox 360 gamers will be delighted and many Konami execs will be fuming. If the latter ends up being the real story, then I’m sure the executives are freaking out and the 360 players will soon be the ones who are angry. Especially the ones who just jumped all over the opportunity to pre order the game.
HMV has the game slated for a September 26th 2008 UK release, but we will have to wait and see whether this is for real or will all fall through beneath our feet. Hit the link to see a screenshot of the listing, or check it out for yourself here.
The Official Playstation blog announced today that PS3 owners will get to download the much awaited MGS4 trailer from the Playstation Store as soon as Sony’s E3 conference ends. It is reported to be in HD with 5.1 surround sound and will definitly be a great addition to any eager MGS fans’s video collection.
“Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps,” Kitaue said in an interview with Yahoo! pre-E3 2007. That statement could signal definite loss of the PS3 in the console war, because it hints at the loss of the only major exclusive title that the PS3 has left to offerto gamers. In the interview with Yahoo, Kitaue expresses his disappointment in the PS3’s sales and how he fears this would hurt his product, MGS4, if it was released as an exclusive Playstation title. He also does not see much to be excited about with the PS3’s new price drop because he explains that it only made way for another, more expensive model. Even though this could end up being a really sad day for PS3 gamers, the game is still slated for March 2008 as an exclusive title on the PS3.
